Plot: The story is set in the town of Anatevka in Russia (in 1905). The lead role is Tevye- who is a poor milkman. The story is specifically centred around him and his conflict, maintaining the customs of his Jewish faith and influences. The story also circles his relationship with his three daughters. As well as their challenging relationship and how their specific idea of a husband betrays his specific ideals.
